I thought that this might be a compatibility issue, but when I plug in the cable from the docking station and then look at my system information, it does not even recognize that a device is connected to the thunderbolt 2 port. Do you guys have any suggestions on what I Press J to jump to the feed.

My existing docking station is for a PC (Dell Precision 5530), but it seems that many people have been able to successfully use this same docking station with a macbook Hey guys, For my new set up Im looking into have a docking station for my 13inch 2015 Macbook pro.I know that using the usb-c adapter means it won't power my laptop, which is fine.I know that sometimes the male to male thunderbolt 2 cable is not bi-directional, but I have tried switching it around.I know that the thunderbolt 3 to thunderbolt 2 adapter should be bi-directional.Lastly I plug the docking station connector into this female adapter. I plug the thunderbolt 2 cable into my macbook, then into the adapter, then into the female-female adapter.
